of greater Los Angeles, proudly presents the Allensworth Blues Festival 2008 (ABF2008).  The Festival is a music fundraising event intended to bring peoples together from communities throughout California along with out of state visitors for a weekend of entertainment, enrichment, enjoyment, and fellowship.    The net proceeds from this event will be used for the We Can Scholarship Program.


will be hosted at the California State Historical Park, Colonel Allensworth Park, located in the southern San Joaquin Valley of Tulare County, which is 192 miles north of Los Angeles.  This park is of meaningful significance because it is the site of the first African-American township established in California. The Festival coincides with the centennial year of the founding of the township.
